This happened last Wednesday. However, it still affects me until today when I was compiling the documents for Petronas.

When I told my assistant that I have managed to get a reply from Petronas for an appointment, immediately she informed the subcontractors. Earlier, I have on record about 10 unpaid subcontractors who had carried out at University Teknology Petronas, Tronoh.

Two days later, when I called my assistant to find out how many subcontractors would be able to attend the meeting, she said, they would charter a bus to KL. News spread fast among the unpaid subcontractors. There were 24 subcontractors. (more…)

Over the past few years, whenever there were chances to debate on the Penang ferry issues , I would not give up to urge the government to introduce speed boat services between Penang and Butterworth. Transport Minister had promised to study this matter and it was the then deputy minister Datuk Donald Lim who went to Penang some times ago and announced that speed boat services will be introduced. We were waiting for the day but out of a sudden , managing director of Penang Port Sdn. Bhd. Ahmad Ibni Hazar announced last week that the project will not be materialised. (more…)

Where is the Hornbill Skyways helicopter clashes reports?

Three Hornbill Skyways helicopter clashes occured in July, 2004, September, 2004 and July 2005 had caused the death of 14.

Ministers in Sarawak are now afraid of taking the helicopter to visit in the inland area. What about the government officers and the flying doctors who are still compelled to use the notorious Hornbill Skyways helicopters? (more…)

Saya menyeru Kementerian Keselamatan Dalam Negeri agar mengarah membatalkan kesemua saman ekor dengan notis 170 A bagi kesalahan tidak memakai topi keledar secara automatik yang telah dikeluarkan kepada penduduk-penduduk Kampung dan bukan sebaliknya meminta mereka mengemukakan rayuan kepada OCPD. Although all students were in tudung, I was still easily recognized and remembered by my friends and lecturers.

However, outside the campus, most of the time, my Muslim friends would not be able to recognize me. I recall an embarrassing situation when a course-mate, an uncle police officer, could not recognize me when I met him at Sentosa, PJ.

As IIUM Graduate
Usually, when I mentioned that I am an IIUM graduate, the next question asked would usually be, “Isn’t IIUM only for Muslims? Can a Non-Muslim study in IIUM?”
