“Mayor Ipoh City Council Boleh!”

- Jalan Theatre and Jalan Yau Tet Shin, Ipoh

I was in Ipoh city this morning. I was shocked to see these rubbish piling up on the kerb of the road. Who is to be responsibled? The public or the Mayor or the workers of MBI? Perhaps, the long festival holidays?

The rubbish are grouped at the main junction of the road. Why? To attract the attention of the lori sampah MBI.

We have raised the poor rubbish collection b yIpoh City Council many times and even submitted a memorandum to the Mayor of Ipoh. We gave chance lah to the Mayor. However, the chance was not appreciated.

Then, we took a drastic action. We threw bags of rubbish in front of MBI so that the Mayor could see the rubbish with his own eyes. However, he replied by blaming his workers and the gave the excuse of “lori sampah rosak.”

A week ago, I called up MBI and complained about uncollected rubbish at Laluan Kledang Utara 9, Taman Wang. The reply was “lori sampah rosak”.

Again, today, when I was in the famous white-coffee shop at Jalan Bendahara, Ipoh, a lady complained about the uncollected rubbish in her area for a week.

Datuk Mayor of Ipoh, what excuse do you have this time for the uncollected rubbish? Please do not blame the public or go after those who put (not throw) the rubbish on the kerb of the road. Take a closer look at the pictures. Those rubbish are in proper plastic bags and tied up neatly.

Where are you, the politically appointed local councillors?

Mayor, if you still cannot attend to the basic responsibilities of a Mayor of Ipoh City, you are not fit to continue holding this position.

  1. One German tourist says Malaysia is such an interesting place because in Germany like Singapore everything is so sterile and clean. The orderiness is so boring and routine. In Malaysia, every taxi, bus is a mobile coffin with the excitement of a roller coaster, wildlife like big rats, coachcohes, put one on one’s toes. Flies that act like divebombers on your food, who need to go to Thailand to eat bugs, all these need rubbish to be well nutrified. It’s Malaysia lah so bug off rocket girl to be our first astronut to the moon of Pas.

  2. The rubbish in PJ is also piling up. That’s the problem with Alam Flora employing rubbish collectors from mainly one race. “Truck rosak” is their favourite answer.

  5. City centres in malaysia are so contaminated. Look at the buses and toilets. I think malaysian should voice out their concern of the lack of credibility of “the Appointed Mayor”…Democracy is death in Malaysia! If Economics Texts need to find any example about “Neo-Corporatism”, Malaysia is their best typical example. Where is malaysian name in [www.worldmayor.com] ? I’m living in abroad for some time now…and I’m tired of all the thing happening. If something happens, solve it…..not just hot talking about for it for few weeks and then treat it as if nothing has happened. Malaysian Mentality has to change…
