Malaysian Astronauts in Parliament

As I am writing this post, the two Malaysian astronauts are sitting at the VIP gallery behind my seat. The House was alerted of their presence by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations. Yes, the Minister, Dato Seri Jamaluddin Jarjis hardly attend Parliament sitting and this time, he brought along the astronauts.

MPs are debating the National Measurement System Bill. As usual, MP for Jerai started to link his speech to the two astronauts. YB Pengkalan Chepa suddenly stood up and asked clarification from YB Jerai. He asked, if the astronauts practice prayers or not in the space.

There is not in the Bill is related to astronauts or outspace.

I have seen their pictures in the newspaper. Indeed, he is good looking. Another, seems a little shy.

I only hope that the two astronauts will not be stressed to attend functions organised by BN like what had happened to our two All-England men’s doubles champions Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong for the Machap by election.

whenever DAP ask to debate important, the Speaker say CANNOT SPEAK. When BN want to ask things that are important or not important to the country, they can…

  3. Political Mileage Exploitation.

Could the very same vocal MPs justify for the RM80Million spent on these two TakNakNauts when it could be better spend on eradicating poverty?

Is there no other way you guys able to get your proposal to the public? maybe you guys should use another strategic for the next election. i hope i can help you guys win more seat , i believe in DAP. Keep up the good work. Having one state is better then none. Centralize and concerntrate.

  5. It pays to be a najis(Jamaluddin [N]ajis). Instead of coming before Parliament after a long absence from Parliament with a contrite heart to apologize for his racist remarks to student Sheena Moorthy, he has the “najis guts” to show off his ministry achievement by bring in that two astronauts to Parliament when the debating the National Measurement Sytem Bill 2007.

    What a complete monkey!

  6. Well, when JN says “Stick to the Bill” to YB Kulasegaran, YB Kula should shot back, “Stick to your najis.”

  7. Have they been in space yet. If not, they are still not considered astronauts. They still need rockets to fire them up.

  8. Waste our money to send them to space. Better spend it on the poor people , repair the ” bocor ” building and save proton.

  9. what a waste of taxpayer money sending them to the space for what purposes???.they can can sure use the money to do a better drainage job in KL.since it keeps on flooding year after year……why waste the money.make the money to good use…..those idiots

  10. I totally agreed with a.j.

Sending an astronaut into space and some silly experiment is a total waste of taxpayers money.

Better spend to provide better infrastructures and services to the people.

We have seen many Malaysia Boleh stuff in the past. I would say none of them provide any useful benefit to the people.

Apart from getting a Datukship, what else can they do to help the people.

  11. I noticed that you mentioned Dato Seri JJ hardly attend Parliament sittings. I don’t know exactly what he is busy tending to. I do know however, he’s very interested in his hobby, an outdoor sport associated with the rich. So much interest with so much passion that he has the time to join tournaments locally and overseas. I’m just wondering who’s paying for the flight and expenditure for such an expensive passion. He has been to America recently, probably before or after you posted this particular topic. BN leaders are very free and with deep pockets, they link their hobby/passion with official duty at times till the extent I doubt whether the coincidence of their official duty/business and the activities of their hobby/passion are purely a coincidence or not. They went to one particular state for a certain convention (apparently, on new technology which Malaysia is interested in) and then jet off to another state for tournament. Not to mention the after-tournament parties for networking…

  12. They are just a waste of tax-payer’s money! Why do we need to have these two astronauts, how can they contribute? Give talks to school children to create awareness? I think give these school children the computer with internet access, awareness is achieved faster and much much cheaper.

  13. If we under the command of the Russian then we are cosmonauts and not astronaut, just like the Chinese are taikonauts. We can call ourselves Bolehnauts when we are leading the mission in 2057 but unfortunaely we don’t have a Von Braun within us, definitely not the Director General of the National Space Agency.

  14. PARLIMEN “MERDEKA” IS A DISASTER

Parlimen celebrate for “MERDEKA” is really a disaster without a proper notice,a special tema,a commander just like we go dinner at kopitiam & suddenly a table wake up & shout “MERDAKA”.Really crazy….,disaster…..

A special TEMA like “PARLIMEN MERDEKA 50” to show that our excited about MALAYSIA merdeka 50years in parlimen.

Where is our commander?Even is my 3 year old child nursery, the school head is act as head to shout ‘MERDEKA’,So parlimen tak ada kepala????

This also must be in proper notice like in what dated?what time? & also take the JALUR GEMILANG to shout “MERDEKA”,You think this like our Perak Rd one,can shout ‘MERDEKA”,can sing “NEGARAKU” dengar sesuka hati ah.At our “PERTANDINGAN MEWARNA MALAYSIAKU GEMILANG” at Sunday,we also have a free “JALUR GEMILANG”.Parlimen bo duit ah or bo love MALAYSIA???

It want to celebrate “MERDEKA” at parlimen, every parlimen must share together. It every one join together? The person no join also a “PENGKIANAT”?Our MR A,MR B MR C……….etc?

No shout “MERDEKA” is a “PENGKIANAT”.Every one can CINTA MALAYSIA with diffender way.Like Negarakuku case,he also loved MALAYSIA with a song but someone say him “PENGKHINAT”.Our YB is ready for all type of critics but for a father of the LOVED MALASIA son, water come out from eye is no a red one but the red one cover all his heart. This is the what the boy get for love MALAYSIA??
