Parliament: Where is the investigation of Nurin’s case heading?
I have just debated the budget 2008. MPs are given only 20 minutes each. I spoke on public safety and the process of “hunting” f0r the murderer of Nurin Jazlin. I expressed disappointment towards the leadership of the Prime Minister. We are free from being colonized but, now leaving us living in fear of crime. This is the result of the poor management of the government.
Yesterday, the House were told that the police had succesfully solved 87% of the rape cases. There were 8122 cases reported since January 2007 until July and 216 left unsolved only. I told the Ministry to clarify and stop misleading the House and public. What is the meaning of “solving”? It does not represent the suspect had successfully be convicted as charged! (more…)
