Where is Sharlinie?

This morning, we went to three markets in Batu Gajah constituency. Then, late in the evening, we went to Batu Gajah town pasar malam. We call on all to assist to find the missing young girl, Sharlinie, 5 years old. I could see the respond of the public was positive. Some even asked for more leaflets from us. Some pasar malam traders immediately pasted it on to their vehicle. I need to thank Utusan Malaysia of Ipoh for giving me copies of the paper. Also, my printer for rushing the leaflets for me.

I believe this is what a little which Batu Gajah voters can do to assist the family members of Sharlinie. We do not wish to see another incident of Nurin. It is painful even to think of the case.

Let us remember, it is the leadership of Pak Lah which has failed us. The basic, a safe environment, yet he could not provide for his rakyat. Of course, he and his BN component leaders will tell us that this is a shared responsibility. I do agree. However, the situation has reached a stage whereby the PM has to advised the parents not to ask their young child to go buy things alone or hold their hands while on the road, it goes to show that he has failed in his leadership and carrying out his responsibilities as the Minister in charge of Internal Security.

Later, will he ask woman not to go to work alone? Does this reminds you of the incident where a graphic designer was kidnapped in front of her office at Shah Alam?

A New Direction, requires a new leadership. It starts from us…

Let us pray that Sharlinie will return home, to her family members safely and soon.

  1. Dear Ms. Fong,
This is my first time to your blog. The scenario looks bleak for Sharlinie. It is no longer advisable for adults to leave kids alone. By the way, wishing you belated congratulations on your marriage which is a good move of yours and greetings for the coming Chinese New Year.

  2. Dear Ms Fong,
It seems like there is no more safety for the public. Not only for kids but for all. Burglary rates in our area has increased especially with Chinese New Year approaching. Burglars have now become so daring that they even threatened to hurt the kids if they get nothing from the house. In one case, of one the burglar was caught by the houseowner but then the other gang members threatened to burn down the owner’s house if their burglar friend was not released. All possible preventions we try to implement, e.g. alarm system seems to be of no use. No place is safe even in our own homes.
Is this the way Malaysia will become? A place of no law and order?

  5. The crime rate has come to a level that require citizen to bear arms due to failure of national leadership and police incompetency, the only way for the citizen to feel safe again is to overhaul the whole police force, or else allow law abiding citizen to keep fire arms, before we all become the victim of a failed and corrupt government administration.
