  7. The Malaysian Rakyat generally prefers not to state their political views and inclination openly, and given the fact that the Barisan Nasional is well-funded and has been distorting the picture through state-controlled media, it may well be that voters can be swung back to the Barisan Nasional.

To counter this, we must start a VIRAL SMS Campaign. Given that the Rakyat are generally fearful of being tracked down by the Government for spreading news via SMS, it is best that this SMS Campaign be started by politicians from the Barisan Rakyat. The more SMSes the Rakyat receives, the braver they will become. The more SMSes the Rakyat receives, the more we will be able to BUILD MOMENTUM to counter the distortion created by the Barisan Nasional, and hence deny Barisan Nasional of the 2/3 majority. The more SMSes the Rakyat receives, the more the Rakyat will be convinced of voting out the Barisan Nasional and voting in the Barisan Rakyat.

So, start now by sending the following SMS to all Barisan Rakyat politicians whom you know: “VOTE FOR THE FUTURE OF MALAYSIA AND OUR CHILDREN, VOTE OUT BARISAN NASIONAL, VOTE IN BARISAN RAKYAT! Forward this SMS to at least 2 caring fellow Malaysians”

Or you can send any other SMS messages which you may wish to create, but keep it short, so that it will be easy for the Rakyat to subsequently forward it to their family and friends.

Once again, LET US VOTE FOR THE FUTURE OF MALAYSIA AND OUR CHILDREN, VOTE OUT BARISAN NASIONAL, VOTE IN BARISAN RAKYAT!

  20. Dear Po Kuan,

Just a suggestion. Why don’t you record down your speeches and post it here? I am quite sure many readers out there will want to hear your voice, opinion and passion for the nation. Who knows, you might be able to reach out to those not only in Batu Gajah but in other states as well.

Anyway, keep up the spirit and have a good fight!

  21. Dear Po Kuan,
You Can ! Fight for a better Malaysian’s Malaysia. Not BN’s Malaysia. Do not get upset by those ” Back-stab, pulling legs ” tactics by others.

  22. I’ve not been to your “ceramah” but I found that most opposition (or BN candidates)overuse “character assasination” during their speeches. To this, it only works on people emotionally for a while.

I guess the crux is in wooing the voters from a rational perspective eg Economic Policies, How the opposition will govenrn for a better tomorrow etc. For a start, non of the campaign material comes with a proper “Manifesto” except faces and logo or insult to the rulling party.

Maybe its just me but I really like to know what can be changed by voting DAP or opposition in general (though I’ll still vote DAP)…

    Good luck!

  25. Manifesto is a hype. It is very easy to draft any manifesto but it is difficult to implement. Even DAP+PAS+PRK combine, they still lack of experience (if not coherence) to govern this country. Unlike the Labour Party in Australia that could take over easily, the non-ruling parties (I don’t classify them as opposition) here in Malaysia have never planned to work together to rule this country. No grooming in leadership, no training in administration, in fact many areas lack of talents. If you look at election in Australia, US, Taiwan, South Korea, foreign policies such as relationship with big powers (such as US or China) are always part of their manifesto. Furthermore, how to take over since DAP always goes to Chinese areas and PAS always goes to Malay area? Even a strong leader like Lim Guan Eng has to go to “safe” seat like Bagan, instead of opening a new frontline in Johor. So, no point to read the manifesto.

For myself, I vote DAP not because DAP is so great (look, there used to be 3 Lim and isn’t it a dilemma that Mr LKS still there while the other two Lim already quit?). BN is worse. Any propaganda from BN is so disgusting. Like today, the big advert is about RM 5 for medical. They are completely out-of-touch for Chinese voters. None of my family, sisters, parents, brothers go to government hospitals for the past 20 years. I wonder how many of you in city still go to Government hospital? Frequently, when you go to government hospitals, you will wonder why these “people” with foreign accent could get their PR (or citizenship), etc so easy - while your friends or relatives will face so many problems to renew social visit passes for their foreign spouses.

So, after this election, it is time for both sides to think carefully. BN has to know the reasons that drive people like me to vote for DAP. DAP, well, think about it: are you still operating for short-term strategy or is it time for you to think longer term? Do you still want to rely on LKS, Karpal Singh while Lim Keng Yaik, Ling Liong Sek, Mahathir already out-of-picture.

  28. To all lovely Malaysian… this is the best time.. after 50 years.. BN is the weakest now… no thanks to the information age that had brought up some awful truth about abuse , corruption that had been hidden thru the eyes of our fathers and us. Ever since Tunku left us… BN had been so corrupt and money politics.

All we ask for is please vote any opposition.. is the best time denying BN a 2/3 majority. If just everyone here in Malaysia , that love this motherland… please vote the opposition.. voting the opposition doesn’t mean there will not be benefits for your town , kampung.. as we always have this misconception. But becoz of voting for the opposition.. YOUR VOICE will be heard in the Parliment… You will be seeing more justice done.. more rights fought for and not let those corrupt people in BN do whatever they like. Imagine all your pure hardwork and the sweat that you have laboured into this country… ALL are fed to these big fat lazy greedy BN people. Ask yourself.. how many of these so call leaders driving big car , big house..?? Almost all at their top ranks. Where does all the money comes from ? FROM YOU !!

If we put more than one third of opposition into parliment , we can now check on every project they propose and the opposition will report the truth to us. Unlike the past 50 years , our eyes were totally closed. We are fed with lies that had blinded us for so long.

This time around the future for you and your next generation is in your hands.. many out there that I have met who are BN supporters are switching side becoz these ‘rakyat’ are still human and has heart… they can’t bear to see what will happen if BN take on Malaysia without any opposition for the next 4 years.. Malaysia will be totally screw up.

Just remember this .. all we have to do is to deny BN 2/3 , 75 seats.. DAP , PAS , PKR.. whoever other than BN.

If you want to do yo part to salvage things.. please , please tell your friends.. family members who are voting.. please.. any opposition your choice.. vote them. Give them a chance. Why are they in the opposition ? They dun get any money. Unlike BN hordes.. the opposition hardly get anything. But yet they fought for so long.. for who ?

For the balance of the force..

Please do our part. We have 10 days. Tell 3 friends everyday. How they can make a change. Balance the force. In turn the 3 friends tell another 3 friends.

Its the best time. Or else there won’t be anychance later …BN is the weakest now. Before it is too late.

    It makes a difference.

  31. I 100% agree with Jerry’s comments as above (posted on Feb 27, 10:15 pm). BN advertised outrageously last few days in ALL mass media(GOD knows, those are tax payers $$$), trying to deceive people again. Unfortunately some people may be conned by these tricks..SO, ALL OF US must help educate our parents, relatives, close frens, neighbours, so that they are not in any way, cheated by BN dirty tricks again!!!! VOTE FOR DAP, VOTE FOR OPPOSITION!!!

  32. Will you come to speak to us in PJ Utara too. Tony needs to take back the seat from Chew Mei Fun as she can speak up for us (the rakyat) in Parliament. She is only good in repairing ‘lingkang’ (the drain). So may she should be appointed as a counselor in MPSJ when she loses the PJ Utara seat.

  33. Hello Po Kuan… I understand that you are tremendously busy these days and I wrote several times on your blog but it’s not posted on your blog. I met you in Pasir Pinji about a week ago and you told me that you remember me and that my writings were approved and posted but I coundn’t find any of it. We also exchanged our cell number then just in case you need more manpower to help you on your campaign.

I also call and text message you several times later on but there were no respond. Am wondering if I got your wrong number. I don’t how else can I reach you but please respond by text message me or so to let me know if I can be any of your help on your campaign.

By the way, your Cantonese speech in Pasir Pinji 3 days ago was very impressive!! Keep up the good work!!

    Man in red…./robert
