Help Needed For Election Campaign at Batu Gajah Parliamentary Constituency
Dear Friends, I will be grateful if you can assist to polling and counting agent for me on 8.3.2008.
Batu Gajah Parliamentary Constituency is the constituency with the highest voters, 77,313 in Perak. What a “coincident”! While Ipoh Timur, is second, with 76,647 voters.
The voters for Batu Gajah Parliamentary constituency will vote in 143 classrooms. The vote counting for both state and Parliament will be done stimulatenously. As such, we need 2 counting agent for each classroom ie, at least 290 agents. Further, the recounting (if any) will be done in the respective classroom if the different of votes is 4%. This is a new ruling. This is critical because we need volunteers to ensure that request for recount is made while in the classroom, failing which, no recounting is allowed later.
A briefing will be conducted by myself personally, if you can assist us in this process.
Your assistance is required on 8.3.2008 from 3 pm until the counting process is concluded. ( approximately 2 hours). Batu Gajah Parliamentary constituency includes:-
First Garden, Jelapang, Falim, Lahat, Menglembu, Pusing, Papan, Gunung Hijau, Tronoh, Kg Baru Nalla, Kg Baru Bali, Kg Baru Bemban, Kg Baru Bukit Merah.
Please contact Miss Kong at 016 564 7543 to register.
Lastly, I will be grateful if you can donate to Batu Gajah Parliamentary election campaign fund : Please pay to : Cawangan DAP Kampung Baru Bukit Merah at CIMB Bank Account No: 0825 0000 893059. If you have done so, please do leave your contact in my blog. Thank you so much.
(I do not how to set up the payment via credit card. Payment via online transfer/atm only)

Are they alternative ways to make donations? e.g. via credit card.

What is the account name for this account number 0825 0000 893059? Is it “Batu Gajah Parliamentary election campaign fund “.
2nd question (if you don’t mind): why use CIMB and not Public Bank?

Dear Friend,
You have given alot of help, attention and advise to my problems. I do have friends in BN (one of them is contesting in a DUN) but none of them seems to be interested in helping. They only attend to certain issues/problems.
Now is time for me to give back a little help to you. I will be contacting Miss Kong to put me in as a counting agent.
Glad to serve you and the people who wants to make a change for a better future.

Hi Po Kuan,
Yesterday, I have just attended the polling & counting agent briefing for your constituency. There were about 50 of us and to my surprise there were 2 MALAY guys. I spoke to one of them and he (did not get his name) said that he has been aron your center to help DAP for more than 20years. The briefing was done by Choy, Ah Fun and Ms Kong. It lasted about 2 hours and it was interesting. Everyone don seems to be bored. Its not really that hard or tough to be an agent but its an important role.
Lastly, all the best to you. I will be at your Mengelembu center to help out after finishing the vote count and will be waiting for your victory & celebration.
BTW, if you have time (maybe after the GE), please set a meet up session with these volunteer agents. I could see some of them were hoping to meet you in person last night.

Congratulations to DAP. As promised, I casted the vote for DAP despite I used to vote for BN. So, DAP, it is time for you to think of long term.
